The prompt

Here is a prompt I use often: [paste prompt]. It costs too many tokens. Make it shorter without changing what it asks for. Do this: 1. List every instruction, constraint and piece of context in my prompt as a numbered list of 'requirements'. 2. Find waste: repeated instructions, filler ('please', 'I want you to'), long examples that could be shorter, instructions the model follows anyway, and contradictions. 3. Write a shorter version that still covers every requirement. Use short labelled lines and placeholders in [brackets]. 4. Show a table: Requirement # | Where it is in the new version. 5. Give the approximate word count before and after. 6. Flag anything you removed that might change output quality, so I can test it. Don't add new requirements, examples or style rules of your own.
