The prompt
I've uploaded my sources to NotebookLM (or Gemini Notebook). Run a study pass for me on this topic: [topic, e.g. the causes of the 2008 financial crisis / chapter 4 of my lecture notes]. Rules for every answer: - Use only what's in the sources I uploaded. If something isn't covered, say "Not in sources" and stop. Don't fill gaps with general knowledge. - Put a short citation after every claim (source title + section or page if you can see it). - Prefer quotes under 25 words when the wording matters; otherwise paraphrase and still cite. Do this in order: 1. One-paragraph overview of what my sources actually say about the topic, with citations. 2. A bullet list of the 5 to 8 ideas I should remember, each with one citation. 3. A table of any disagreements between sources: claim | source A | source B | citation. If there are none, write "No disagreements found" and say which sources you checked. 4. Five practice questions I could be asked, with short model answers grounded in the sources. Mark any question the sources can't fully answer. 5. A "gaps" list: what I'd still need to read that isn't in this notebook. Keep the tone plain, like notes I'd revise from. No fluff intro.Find similar in the app →
